Academies
Academies
We have been involved with the Academy sector for a number of years providing accountancy, audit, VAT and other ad hoc services to a growing client base of both Single and Multi-Academy trusts. All of the members of our Academy team are qualified accountants. As a firm, we recognise that it can be quite daunting when converting to Academy status particularly in relation to the extensive reporting requirements which fall upon an Academy Trust.
Our approach is to be proactive from the outset and offer advice and assistance throughout the year rather than just turning up as auditors after the year end. Experience to date tells us that it is the first few months and the first reporting periods following conversion which can be the most challenging from a financial systems point of view.
For new convertors, we provide additional support in the months following conversion and then on an ongoing basis, carrying out termly / quarterly reviews and provide support and feedback throughout the year so that there are no major problems at the year end.
